Harvard Case: Export Of Pesticides
[ send me this paper ]
This 5 page paper is based on a Harvard case study about exporting pesticides from the U.S. to developing countries. It is a paper that deals with ethics and morality. Sections include a synopsis of the scenario, the environment, the issues involved in the case, alternatives, recommendations and conclusions. This is not as clear-cut a case as it might seem. Fields that are treated will produce about 40 percent more crop than untreated fields. For countries that do not have enough food, the morality of selling them the chemicals is almost a moot question. Bibliography lists 3 sources.

Hobbes, Aquinas And Plato: The Role Of Morality In Establishing An Obligation To Obey Law
[ send me this paper ]
7 pages in length. Ever since the time when mankind required the inclusion of law as a means by which to settle disputes and create a more agreeable community, the issue of legal infiltration has been the subject of myriad dissatisfied individuals who believe that the implementation of law has been significantly more detrimental than beneficial. Others, however, contend that without the presence of law, human morality would not stand on its own as a deterrent to crime and otherwise unwanted social behavior. Thomas Hobbes, St. Thomas Aquinas and Plato postulated the issues surrounding the role of morality in establishing an obligation to obey law; from these three men, one can readily surmise that law most certainly has a place within society's civil framework. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
